Most TV scripts I read clock it at around forty to fifty-five pages for 22-minutes, or one-hundred and ten to one-hundred and forty pages for a feature. I read a lot of TV and feature scripts, and generally, I find the page-a-minute rule doesn't really apply, especially if the scripts are dialogue heavy. In terms of a five-minutes short, how long should a script generally be, especially if it's dialogue heavy? Normally I wouldn't worry, but I am condensing a feature script I wrote for fun into a five-minute short as part of a contest.
